Artist Scott Dugas was born in the Midwest in 1967 and raised there.  As a child, he would explore local fields and woodlots for hours on end.  He was an avid reader and he always delighted in research and learning about the things he had seen each day while playing outside.  Scott would spend countless hours as a child pouring out sketches and drawings.

Scott took a strong interest in wildlife, primarily birds, as well as in Native American culture.  Wildlife would later become his inspiration for his art.  He dabbled in drawing and painting through the years as he and his wife were raising their family.  Once their children left home, he began to feel led to pursue his art in a greater way than ever before.  Up to this point, Scott had only created pencil drawings and sketches, but he began to pursue learning to paint with arylics.

Scott officially began his career as an artist in 2015.  He discovered great value in the artistic talent God had given him.  He began developing his skills with acrylics and learning more about how to make is vision come alive.

Scott's vision became Ole Country Fine Arts, a business through which he shares his heart and his passion with the world.  His joy is to create original work that will delight both the wildlife enthusiasts as well as those who want something beautiful and creative to help them bear the chaos of today's world.
